What's Pricecod? It's simple. You send a text message or email fish@pricecod.com containing a barcode number. The fish emails you back with the lowest prices it finds on the internet. Learn more.

  1. How do I use PriceCod?
    Using PriceCod is easy! Just take the number at the bottom of a barcode, including the first and last digits, and send it to fish@pricecod.com via email message or text message. The PriceCod will quickly send you back a list of the cheapest online vendors for the product you sent in.

  2. I'm not sure I can text message email address from my phone. How should I try?
    The default entry method for the "To:" field on text messages is numbers. Just change the mode on your cell phone so it can enter in alphabetical characters instead. THen, just type in 'fish@pricecod.com' into the "To:" field on a new text message.

  3. What does the PriceCod send me back?
    The PriceCod will send you a message with a list of the two cheapest online vendors and the prices they sell the specified product for.

  4. How long does the PriceCod take?
    The PriceCod will send you a message within a minute or two of receiving your message.

  5. What format should I send the barcode number in as?
    Please enter the complete barcode number, without spaces, hyphens, or other delimiters. You may send the barcode number in as either the body or the subject of your message.
